You only need to follow some rules.

Be confident in yourself and believe in what you’re doing
Recite the chosen prayer with conviction (quietly or in your head) and always do this three times.
Direct your visual focus towards the person who is suffering. If they aren’t present, you must think about them very concertedly.
Respect the signs of the cross if necessary (in the prayer texts, the symbol “+” represents the requirement to make the sign of the cross)
After your intervention, shake out your hands in order to chase away all of the suffering which you captured. Be sure to do this in a way that doesn’t greatly fatigue you, or it will become more and more difficult to practice this gift of healing.
These secrets do not in any case replace medical care. They are supplemental or in desperate cases.
Always remain humble regarding the effectiveness of your intervention.
